ANNOUNCEMENTS!

-So the panels in this post and the pages I've been putting up are all from a comic I'm working on called Lose! It's going to be finished in the summer and then released some time after that by the wonderful Koyama Press. It's my first ever "real" comic, so I am very, very excited about this!
-I have some drawings up at the Keep Six Gallery right now for Jesjit's Community Trance show, so you should drop by there if you happen to live in Toronto. The closing party is this Saturday! I guess I'll be there? Say hi to me!
-Remake, Lamar Abrams' collection of Max Guy strips, just came out yesterday from Adhouse and it is seriously great! You know how some cartoonists make their big comics debut by releasing some sprawling epic about how shitty they were to their college girlfriends, or whatever? THIS IS LIKE THE TOTAL OPPOSITE OF THOSE BOOKS.

Arthur Mag's blog has put up some comics of mine. Most of them I've posted here before - they'll probably be posting some new ones of mine in the next few weeks, though! |

Hey, so I guess I'm allowed to post about this now. This is a project I am working on currently:
http://www.frogchildren.com/
"Frogchildren Studios is proud to announce we are teaming up with G.O.O.D. Music, MY Music, Kanye West and Malik Yusef on the upcoming album “Kanye West and Malik Yusef present G.O.O.D. Morning, G.O.O.D. Night”
“101 Distribution is releasing the first authorized independent release from Kayne West’s G.O.O.D. Music label. The 30 song double disc is called G.O.O.D. Morning, G.O.O.D. Night and features KRS-One, Twista, Jennifer Hudson, Adam Levine of Maroon 5, Bun B and of course almost every other G.O.O.D. Music artist.”
Frogchildren’s Kevin Hanna and Barnaby Ward are bringing together 30 of the top artists and illustrators to create a unique image for each song off the album to be used as Album Art, T-Shirt designs and limited edition prints. Artists include: Tony Philippou, Jim Mahfood, phunk studio, Jeff Matsuda, Andrea Innocent, Christian Ward, Ronald "D-pi" Wimberly, Corey Lewis, and more!. |

The Neighbourhood Sacrifice show is now down, in case there was anyone who still wanted to catch it. We had to take it down a bit early for a concert the gallery was holding. It's legacy will live on in Flickr photos, however, and maybe an Ottawa show?
The launch for Wowee Zonk #2 is tonight! I will drop by to pick up my copy, and you all should too. Patrick, Chris and Ginette did a sweet job on the last one, and this one is now like 60 pages or something.

I'll also have a few zines for sale at their "zine room" at TCAF this weekend, including the Neighbourhood Sacrifice newspaper. BOY TORONTO IS SO FULL OF LIFE |

MIDI POST!
FUN FACT! One of my hobbies is MIDI composition. I got my first MIDI "commission" this month, scoring a soundtrack to this video directed by Chris Eliopoulos (http://www.eliohouse.com) and animated by Gene Goldstein (www.hyperboystudios.com):
Bonus download! I arranged a MIDI cover of one of my favorite Prince songs, When You Were Mine, as a gift for my friend and fellow Prince fan Laura. You can listen to it here:
