2nd collab with Nate Duval! I think we're calling ourselves "Talk Scary" now. We're doing a Locust poster next.

I can't wait to see this in person, the colors he picked look eye-searingly great.

Collabo with Greg "Awesome" Pizzoli!

The cock and balls are more drawings of dudes with moustaches. We're doing a Melt Banana poster next.

I saw Darjeeling Limited last night. A few of the inane comments made by talkative assholes sitting behind me:

"WHY WOULD HE USE SUCH AN OLD IPOD MODEL?"

"WHOA, IS BILL MURRAY REALLY IN THIS? HE'S SERIOUSLY IN THIS MOVIE???" (as Bill Murray is on screen)

"THAT IS SOME MAD SYMBOLISM! ARE YOU PAYING ATTENTION? CHECK OUT THAT SHOT, LOOK AT THE SYMBOLISM"

But, uh, it was good otherwise.

Hey, forgot to post about this a while ago, but I have art in a cool Islands Fold zine just came out called Weast. I don't have a copy yet, but here's a video of how it looks - die cut cover!

Also picked up a copy of Raw Draw> yesterday from Jesjit, which turned out pretty nice. A bunch of drawings mashed up from the TCAF weekend, plus some other things in there too.

I'm in a park using an internet connection I can get from there, but since the hinge is completely loose on my laptop, the screen can't stay up without support behind it. So to keep the screen up, I have to cross my legs and balance the screen part of the laptop on them, while propping up the keyboard part against my body and typing really high up on my chest. I basically look ridiculous, and I think people walking by think I'm trying to hide a boner in a really elaborate way or something. ANYWAY

finished these, two more pieces for a zine with Greg Pizzoli:

HI INTERNET

This is for a collab I'm doing with Greg Pizzoli. It's a joke book, I think, but with monsters?

Also: I've been too busy to make comics this week! Baby, I can change.

Also: I'm trying to get a job dishwashing at Cirque de Soleil (what?)

Also: Pierre interviewed me for his stupid blog. ^_^

Also:

Big-ish illustration updates soon!

This is a submission to the next Revista Collective issue. The theme for the issue is traditional or childhood games, so I did Operation.

They wanted a small write up as well, so here's what I wrote:

I always found the Operation graphic so horrible and funny. . . having this dumbstuck man-child stare in horror while kids pick out his innards with tweezers. It's basically a game about botched medical procedures, which is pretty weird. It seems like there was an era when toys and board games were thrown together with this really wonderful devil-may-care attitude, like there was a bunch of Milton Bradley employees kicking around ideas in a conference room playing word-association games until they came up with something like "kids performing surgery! on an electrically charged clown!" Now toys are tested and retested through focus groups and education specialists until everything is super boring. NO FUN.

Also, here's a new collabo with Jesjit I pulled from his Flickr. It's huge, and Norse-themed. It will probably go on another shirt:

I basically am going to spend the next two weeks drawing full time. Working on art and nothing else has fucked me up pretty hard, I've basically turned into a cranky old man

A little while ago, I did some illustrations for a Dare to Care website redesign. The site's now up, and it looks pretty sweet. I did the text and characters, and the super talented Vincent Morisset put it together and added the animation. Vincent's animations look fantastic, and if you hit refresh, the top and bottom of the screens change. . .
