Assuming I don't have any corrections to make, I think this is pretty much finished:

ALSO
I made Son-in-Law Eggs yesterday. Deep fried hard boiled eggs! I didn't have it with the sauce in there since I didn't feel like braving the cold to buy tamarind. It tasted pretty good with some crushed garlic and a sort of mango chutney instead. I then ate 5 breakfast sausages, so I am basically a walking heart attack.
ALSO, WHO WANTS TO START A CLAN:

Me and elio are playing Doom II multiplayer with this Skulltag thing. I know we aren't the only nerds on Live Journal so COME PLAY WITH US. |

Another piece I did for Aqua! It's a map . . . Took me a lot of false starts to get it right.

Just finished this drawing of Paul Maybury's Aqua! I'm psyched to read this comic.

Also, I know a few people reading this journal used to post on GBX. . . Remember Lauren Utter? THEN YOU BETTER WATCH AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL NEXT SEASON:

Not the final pieces, since the copy and some formatting details are subject to change, but I figured I might as well post the mock ups.

Art for the M for Montreal 2007 compilation. It's a companion to another M for Montreal comp, which I also did art for. See, they're like brother and sister. Or stepdaughter and pervert stepdad.

Originally, I gave the dude beady Tintin eyes, but the client thought they looked too sinister. (She was probably right.)
I was at Nuit Blanche on Saturday, Toronto's all-night arts festival. A friend of mine said Diaspora Dialogues was paying people to man their installation, and hooked me and Alyssa up with jobs. The project was an exquisite corpse that went on throughout the night, where anyone could volunteer to contribute a line to the story. It was as cheezy as it sounds, but I at least got to talk to some interesting people. Here's a photo I stole from some BlogTO Flickr thing:

Finished Zoobombs CD packaging. . . sorry the thumbnail quality is so low, maybe I shouldn't have tried to fit all the panels into one image. But this was pretty fun to work on, I love this band.

I posted this on Pierre's blog too, but Noah Berlatsky posted a reprint of a Scott McCloud review, which I liked and thought some of you other comics-people might find interesting:
Scott McCloud is comicdom’s leading aesthetician. He’s also responsible for some of the most butt-ugly graphic novels in the business. As my friend art-teacher Bert Stabler put it, reading McCloud’s first book, *Understanding Comics* is “like getting a lecture on sexual titillation from a talking pair of pants filled with lunchmeat.”
On point! Read the whole thing here. |

A little while ago, I did some illustrations for a Dare to Care website redesign. The site's now up, and it looks pretty sweet. I did the text and characters, and the super talented Vincent Morisset put it together and added the animation. Vincent's animations look fantastic, and if you hit refresh, the top and bottom of the screens change. . .

I'm pretty sure I'm allowed to post this. . . it's a 5x7 cover to a 55 DSL's "Making Out" guide, it's gonna be an insert in Vice.

BTW, that "Face Book" zine I posted a while ago is now for sale, so e-mail me if you want a copy. 5 bucks! |
